Introduction of silicon calcium alloy
Silica calcium alloy is a binary alloy composed of silicon and calcium, belonging to the category of ferroalloy. It is mainly composed of silicon and calcium, and contains different amounts of impurities such as iron, aluminum, carbon, sulfur and phosphorus. Iron and steel industry as calcium additives, deoxidizer, desulfurizer and non - metallic inclusion denaturant. Cast iron industry as an inoculant and denaturant. According to the difference of calcium content, SiCa31(Ca≥31.0%, Ca+Si≥90%) can be divided into three types. SiCa28 (Ca 28.0% or more, Ca + Si 85% or higher); SiCa24 (Ca 24.0% or more, Ca + Si 80% or higher); SiCa15(CA 15% ~ 20%), etc. Other impurities shall be prescribed for different purposes. In addition, on the basis of silica-calcium alloy, other elements are added to form ternary or multi-component composite alloy. Such as Si - Ca - Al; Si-Ca-Mn; Si-ca-ba, etc., used as deoxidizer, desulfurizer, denitrifier and alloy agent in iron and steel metallurgy.
