What is ferroalloy? What's the use? Let's learn:

Ferroalloy in a broad sense refers to a product added to molten iron as deoxidizer and element additive to make steel have certain characteristics or meet certain requirements. An intermediate alloy composed of iron and one or more elements, mainly used in iron and steel smelting. In the iron and steel industry, all master alloys for steelmaking, whether containing iron or not (such as silicon calcium alloy), are generally called "ferroalloy". Traditionally, some pure metal additives and oxide additives are also included.

Ferroalloys are generally used as deoxidizer: to remove oxygen from molten steel in the process of steelmaking. Some ferroalloys can also remove other impurities in steel, such as sulfur and nitrogen. Alloy additive: according to the requirements of steel composition, alloy elements are added to the steel to improve the properties of the steel. Inoculant: add molten iron before cast iron casting to improve the crystalline structure of the casting.
