There are many kinds of ferroalloys. According to what standard, let's learn about it:

(1) Single ferroalloy. An alloy containing only one alloying element is called a single ferroalloy. Its main varieties are ferrosilicon, ferromanganese, ferrochromium, ferromolybdenum, ferrotitanium, ferrotungsten, industrial silicon, ferroboron, ferrovanadium, metallic manganese, etc;

(2) Composite ferroalloy. Alloys containing two or more alloying elements are called composite ferroalloys. Its main varieties are silicon manganese alloy, silicon calcium alloy, etc;

(3) Nitrided products. Nitrided products produced by nitriding with ferromanganese or ferrochromium powder under high temperature conditions. Its main varieties are ferromanganese nitride, ferrochromium nitride, etc;

(4) Oxide agglomerates. Oxide agglomerates easily reduced by iron can also be directly added to liquid steel as alloying agent, such as molybdenum oxide agglomerates. According to the requirements of steelmaking, countries also divide various products into several brands. There are hundreds of ferroalloy standards (national standards) issued by the state in China. Among the ferroalloy varieties, the production of ferroalloy in the three systems of silicon, manganese and chromium is very large, accounting for more than 90% of the total output of ferroalloy.
