Calcium silicon cored wire is one of the packet core, in the process of the steel smelting will join all kinds of additives, and, if these additives are added directly affected by factors such as particle size to the liquid steel temperature, therefore also need to these additives added to the package in the conductor broken into the right size, not only convenient for additive, but also to avoid infiltration of other impurities. There are many applications of silicon  calcium cored wire in steel smelting. Let's see what benefits its application has to steel making.

The method of use is to insert the cored wire vertically into the liquid iron or steel through the feeder of the manufacturer, and the cored wire and other metallurgical materials will be fully melted at the ideal depth and produce chemical reaction, which effectively avoids the reaction of adding elements with air and slag, and improves the absorption rate of metallurgical materials of the manufacturer.

The gasification temperature of Ca is about 1480°, and the refining temperature of molten steel is 1580°~1600°. In this way, the metal Ca fed into the molten steel is immediately vaporized in the initial stage, and its volume is greatly expanded.

The deoxidization performance of Ca is higher than that of Al, so the binding ability of Ca and O is stronger. Therefore, the gasified Ca can react with the refractory inclusion Al2O3, making it denaturate to form calcium aluminate and other substances and float on the surface.

The calcium feed line of converter molten steel is fed when argon is blown after steel coming out. Generally, the calcium feed line is fed while argon is blown. The stirring through argon blowing can improve the shape of inclusion, promote inclusion to float up, and improve the liquidity of molten steel.
