Attention should be paid to the feeding speed and position of pure calcium cored wire in operation

Adjust the feeding speed reasonably when using pure calcium cored wire.

The feeding speed of spring calcium cored wire has a great effect on the absorption rate of Ca, too fast or too slow will lead to the decrease of absorption rate. The pure calcium cored wire begins to melt when it is fed to a certain depth, the depth of which should ensure that the melted and dispersed calcium bubbles are subjected to a greater hydrostatic pressure of molten steel, so that they can be completely consumed before floating to the steel surface. Proper feeding speed can increase the yield of calcium. If the speed is too fast, on the one hand, the molten steel will be violently churn because of the large amount of calcium vapor produced locally, and a large amount of calcium vapor will directly volatilize into the air. On the other hand, calcium vapor can not dissolve and floats up in large quantities, thus reducing its yield. On the other hand, if the speed is too slow, it will result in insufficient feeding depth, which will be wasted by floating to the steel surface before it can completely dissolve in the molten steel.

The calcium content of solid core pure calcium cored wire is much higher than that of calcium iron wire. If the same wire feeding speed is used, the molten steel will churn more intensely, which is not conducive to calcium absorption. Different kinds of steel, different ladle capacity, the best feeding speed is different, which needs to be selected according to the actual situation of the site.

Correct selection of feeding position.

Feed line location also has a great influence to the yield of calcium, pure calcium solid core wire feeding point should be chosen in the center of the liquid steel drop flow, as far as possible away from blowing argon bright circle, so whether it is Ca in gaseous or liquid into the molten steel, are falling flow under the action of force it down, so as to prolong the residence time in the liquid steel, so that it is fully absorbed by molten steel.
