What problems should be paid attention to in the use of carburizing agent for casting? Learn not to take detours. Here's a brief introduction:

(1) Choose the carburizing agent suitable for your furnace: if you want to use the carburizing agent well in casting, you should choose the type of carburizing agent, because different carburizing agents are often applicable to different smelting furnaces. Before purchasing the carburizing agent, you should fully understand the type and type of carburizing agent used in your furnace.

(2) Selection of carburizing agent with qualified nitrogen content: generally, carburizing agent with low nitrogen content should be selected during casting, which will ensure the minimization of harmful substances. The content of titanium in molten iron is very low and will not consume a lot of nitrogen, so it is easy to have defects such as large amount of pores and gas shrinkage due to the increase of nitrogen content.

(3) Choose carburizing agent with better graphitization: try to choose carburizing agent with better graphitization during casting, otherwise it will lead to low absorption rate, slow absorption, slag and harmful elements, which will affect the quality of molten iron.

(4) Put the carburizing agent in the appropriate time: pay attention to the adding time of carburizing agent during casting. Generally, it can be added in the early, middle and later stages of casting, and can also be added at the same time with scrap steel. Adding in the later stage can also play the role of pretreatment and increase the graphite core.
