There are three reasons why the electrode drops when high carbon ferrochrome iron is produced

A lot of people have certain understanding of high carbon ferrochrome, but because is not engaged in this industry, so the process of smelting is not very understanding, especially in high carbon ferrochrome why drop electrode at the time of the iron, at the time of smelting high carbon ferrochrome, the tapping time at about ten to twenty minutes, if the tapping process to grasp the right time, not only can reduce the temperature of the furnace bottom, will also reduce the time of smelting high carbon ferrochrome, in order to assure the tapping of the time, so will drop electrode, drop electrode has the following three reasons in detail.

1. After opening the iron outlet, as the molten iron gradually flows out, the distance between the electrode and the surface of the molten iron inside the skull will increase, the resistance will increase, and the electrode will significantly decrease. This is conducive to the lower tea of the electrode, thus creating favorable conditions for the expanded crucible to increase the furnace temperature of the bridge.

2, electrode arc to emit electrons, there is a jet pressure, the more the electrode drops, its pressure is greater, can also take this opportunity to promote the rapid outflow of iron, shorten the time of iron.

3, as the iron, the crucible will slowly empty, will slow the decline of electrode to prevent collapse, once the improper operation, the tapping process of collapse, so will delay the time of iron, as the molten iron outflow, is expected to fall below, top of the crucible will gradually downward, at this time of the electrode will slowly drop, less time is forced out of iron.
