Solid core calcium metal cored wire design and functional requirements:

 (1) the use of homemade ￠7.0-¢7.8mm specifications of pure calcium wire as the core material of the cored wire.

 (2) the use of cold-rolled bright steel strip, strip thickness more reasonable, diameter∮9-10mm, uniform wire diameter, with high tensile strength, good toughness, not easy to break the line and other advantages, more conducive to feeding the amount of accurate control of the line.

(3) The product can be applied to the steel grades refined and treated by calcium-iron cored wire and silicon-calcium cored wire, and the calcium yield is increased by more than 50%.

(4) Using the existing wire feeding equipment, a deeper steel feeding depth is achieved at a lower wire feeding speed, the wire feeding volume is easily and accurately controlled, and the wire feeding process is stable.

(5) The core wire is dense and tightly wrapped, and can be stored for a longer period of time to ensure the use effect.

Advantages of solid-core calcium metal cored wire.

1)The calcium element harvesting rate is increased, after using fed solid core pure calcium cored wire, for SPHC as the representative of low carbon low silicon steel calcium harvesting rate of more than 15% on average, the calcium use efficiency is increased by about 52% compared to silica calcium cored wire.

2) The cost reduction is obvious. Tons of steel solid core pure calcium cored wire feeding weight is only about 38% of the equivalent silicon-calcium cored wire.

3) More conducive to pure steel production.

4)Reduces and eliminates the blockage of the water outlet of continuous casting steel.
