Refining of ferrosilicon
With the development of the production of electrical steel, higher requirements are put forward for the aluminum content of ferrosilicon. In order to improve the quality of ferrosilicate and meet the requirements of smelting special steel, a lot of research has been done on ferrosilicate refining at home and abroad, and ferrosilicate with Al < 0.01% and very low impurity has been produced. At present, the refining methods of ferrosilicate include synthetic slag refining and chlorination refining. Using synthetic slag refining, the operation method is simple, the cost is low, the refining equipment is easy to solve, but the impurity removal efficiency is not as good as chlorination refining method. The impurities can be greatly reduced by chlorination refining.
