Self-baking electrode: the quality of high carbon ferromanganese self-baking electrode depends on the preparation of electrode shell, electrode paste and electrode roasting. When the quality of these three aspects can not be guaranteed, there will be a variety of electrode accidents, such as electrode underburning, leakage of paste, hard break, soft break, etc.. Light load relief, heavy cause thermal shutdown. It not only affects the smelting time and the production speed, but also reduces the furnace bottom temperature.

Furnace lining: high carbon ferromanganese furnace lining is an important part of the furnace body, because it has to withstand the high temperature of 1400 ~ 1800 degrees Celsius in the process of use, but also bear the burden of etching, high temperature furnace gas and molten iron and slag physical and chemical erosion, so it is easy to be melted, softened, melted and even cracked. If adiabatic performance is bad, still can increase electric energy consumption. Therefore, the furnace lining should be made of special refractory materials and insulation materials.

Water cooling equipment: the normal operation of the high carbon ferromanganese electrode water cooling system is very important. The electrode sleeve, copper tile and conductive copper tube are cooled with water. The inlet temperature of cooling water should be as low as possible, and the outlet temperature should not be too high. The water quality of cooling water in smelter is very hard, and the sediment in the water is easy to deposit at the bottom of the large cover, which seriously affects the cooling effect of the large cover. The management of spare parts should be strengthened to shorten the hot stop time.
