Which raw material factors affect the smelting quality of high carbon ferrochrome
Smelting methods of high carbon ferrochrome blast furnace method, electric furnace method, plasma furnace method, etc., smelting high carbon ferrochrome raw materials are chromium ore, coke and silica. It should be noted that when high carbon ferrochrome manufacturers produce high carbon ferrochrome, the following four factors will have a certain impact on the quality of high carbon ferrochrome:
1, harmful impurities in the raw materials: the impurities in the raw materials to sulfur phosphorus harmful, because they enter the ferrochrome, will affect the steel and the quality of steel.
2. Whether the particle size of raw materials is appropriate has a great impact on the smelting process. Too large size of raw material will not melt easily, but also cause difficulties. The increase of electrical conductivity will increase the amount of slag, the deterioration of furnace conditions, and the deterioration of various technical and economic indicators of smelting.
3. The drying of raw materials is also very important, especially for coke. Coke has a high porosity and is highly absorbent. The fluctuation of water in coke first affects the accuracy of the fixed carbon ratio in the charge, and then the evaporation of water also consumes heat. Especially when the material collapses, the wet material directly enters the crucible area and absorbs a large amount of heat, which increases the power consumption. After the wet coke is broken, the powder often blocks the screen hole or makes the screen hole smaller, the result is that the coke end screen can not come down, so that the powder in coke increases. Wet coke into the closed furnace, easy to make the material tube blocked to produce suspension, when the material collapse, it will bring into the air, the pressure inside the furnace rapidly increased, there may be an explosion accident. So we should pay special attention.
4. Grade and purity of raw materials: smelting requires the highest grade of raw materials as possible. High purity raw materials can achieve high yield and low consumption.
