The production equipment of ferrosilicon is submerged arc reduction furnace. The silicon content of ferrosilicon is controlled by the addition of iron materials. Production of high purity ferrosilicon in addition to the choice of pure silica and reducing agent, but also for furnace refining to reduce aluminum, calcium, carbon and other impurities in the alloy. The production process of ferrosilicon is shown in the figure. Ferrosilicon with Si≤ 65% can be smelted in closed electric furnace. Si≥ 70% ferrosilicon is smelted in open or semi-closed furnace.
