The coke with small particle size, the resistance is large, the contact surface is large, will make the electrode deep inserted, the heat loss is less, but the particle size is too small and will reduce the air permeability of the charge, resulting in the stabbing fire collapse.
So coke should have a certain amount of appropriate particle size. The size of the particle size is related to the capacity of the furnace, the coke particle size of the large electric furnace is larger, the coke particle size of the small electric furnace is smaller. In the process of smelting, the water content in coke should be regularly checked and the furnace charge ratio should be corrected to make the furnace condition normal.
