This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, storage and transportation, marking and quality certificates of ferrosilicon.

This standard is applicable to ferrosilicon used in steel-making and casting as deoxidizing or alloying element additives and magnesium metal industries.
