Brief introduction
Nodularizer is widely used in China for spheroidal graphite cast iron and liquid metal or alloy. The prevalent application of rare earth magnesium ferrosilicon nodularizers facilitates the crystallization of spherical graphite in cast iron as an additive. The primary components of nodularizers include spheroidizing elements such as Rare Earth (Re), Calcium (Ca), and Magnesium (Mg). Spheroidal graphite, produced through the spheroidizing treatment of ductile cast iron, exhibits significantly higher strength compared to gray cast iron, along with improved toughness relative to malleable cast iron. This series of advantages allows for the retention of properties associated with gray cast iron while enhancing its performance when using a nodularizer. However, it is important to note that the use of a nodularizer can lead to increased weldability issues; specifically, white ductile iron tends to exhibit poorer weldability than gray cast iron due to its propensity for hardening microstructures. Consequently, cracks may be induced in both the weld seam and heat-affected zone (particularly within the fusion zone).
Use
* The chemical composition exhibits uniformity and stability, with minimal mass deviation.
* The alloy demonstrates high purity, characterized by reduced slag content and low magnesium oxide levels.
* The spheroidization treatment is conducted at an appropriate density and melting point, resulting in stable reactions and facilitating convenient operation.
* This process possesses a strong spheroidizing capability, resistance to spheroidizing decline, a wide range of compatible raw materials, and robust anti-interference properties.
* Furthermore, the spheroidizing reaction generates minimal smoke and dust, thereby enhancing the on-site working environment.
