What are the raw materials used in the production of carbon ferromanganese?
The raw materials of low carbon ferromanganese produced by electrosilicon thermal process include manganese ore, manganese-silicon alloy and lime.
The requirements for manganese ore are: Mn> 40%, Mn/Fe> 7, P<0.1%, SiO2<15% of manganese rich oxide ore, smelting medium and low carbon fermanganese is not suitable for sinter and manganese rich slag, the size of manganese ore is not greater than 50mm, the moisture should be less than 6%.
The requirement of manganese-silicon alloy is that the carbon content should be determined according to the carbon content of low carbon ferromanganese in the smelting, and the higher the manganese content, the better. It usually contains 67-69% manganese. When cold loading is used, the particle size of Mn Si alloy is less than 30mm, and the high carbon layer is removed. Adopt liquid manganese silicon alloy mixing method, the slag will be cleaned when hot mixing.
The requirements for lime are: CaO> 85%, P≤0.02%, SiO2≤3%, particle size 8-40mm, no carbon inclusions, should not use powdery, not fully burned lime.
