As the name recarburizer, it is a product used to increase carbon (C) and is used in a number of industries. The addition of recarburizer in steelmaking can effectively improve the hardness and wear resistance of steel, but if used improperly, the carbon element in the steel will also affect the quality of steel. Recarburizer used in casting, can greatly increase the amount of scrap, reduce the amount or use pig iron. The feeding method of electric furnace melting, the recarburizer should be put into the furnace with scrap steel and other charges, and the addition of a small dose can be chosen to be added to the surface of molten iron. But to avoid large quantities of molten iron feeding, in order to prevent excessive oxidation and appear carburizing effect is not obvious and the carbon content of the casting is not enough.

If the joining time of recarburizer is too early, it is easy to make it attached near the bottom of the furnace, and the recarburizer attached to the furnace wall is not easy to be dissolved into iron. On the contrary, joining time is too late, it loses the opportunity of recarburizing, resulting in melting and heating time delay. This not only prolonged the time of chemical composition analysis and adjustment, but also may bring about the damage caused by excessive heating of ferroalloy. Therefore, in the process of adding metal charge, the effect of adding a little bit of recarburizer will be better. If the amount of one addition is too large, it can be combined with the operation of liquid iron overheating used in the induction furnace to ensure that the absorption time of recarburizer in liquid iron is 10Min. On the one hand, the electromagnetic stirring is used to fully diffuse and absorb the recarburizer to ensure the absorption effect. On the other hand, it can reduce the nitrogen content in the carburizer.


Under normal circumstances, recarburizer do not join at a time, batch to join. After melting, add a part, put a part (a bag or so) of molten iron into the bag, and then add recarburizer to the furnace 1-2 times, and then beat slag, and add alloy. Adding method is wrong, using layer to add carburizer. Avoid adding too much slag when liquid iron mirror, try not to use too much rust material.
