Our May ferrosilicon production broke a record
In May, good news came from the Safety and Environmental Protection Production Division, the company's first smelter produced 2,463.073 tons of ordinary ferrosilicon from two electric furnaces, refreshing the record high output of 2,382.185 tons in March 2021 and exceeding the best record by 80.888 tons. The output of 2,266.790 tonnes exceeded the best ever record by 92.609 tonnes, and the comprehensive unit consumption was the best ever record in May 2010, dropping by 75 kwh/t, achieving a "double breakthrough" in terms of output and comprehensive unit consumption; the fifth smelter produced 2,498.439 tonnes of 75% ferrosilicon in the month, which was the best ever record in January 2022. Since this year, in the face of many unfavourable factors such as rising electricity prices, tight silica supply and the impact of the epidemic, the company has co-ordinated its production and epidemic prevention and control work, clearly put forward the production guiding principle of "reducing comprehensive electricity consumption and maximising benefits", continuously strengthened the control of each process, finely organised production, scientifically arranged and issued production plans. In addition to the comprehensive grasp of the company's electric furnace upgrade work, the company's leaders have repeatedly gone into the front line to guide the production work, for different furnace type proposed a series of practical operating concepts and specific measures, so that the production system to maintain efficient and safe operation. Each production unit carefully summed up the experience of using raw materials, actively carried out horizontal technical exchanges, searched for gaps, applied precise measures, continuously cracked production problems, optimized production indicators, strived to reduce consumption, improve quality, increase production and create greater economic benefits. The first smelting plant combined with the raw material condition, strengthened the management of iron discharge before the furnace, put emphasis on reducing stinging fire and stabilizing furnace conditions, unified thinking, scientific operation, and ensured the stable operation of the electric furnace; the fourth smelting plant timely summarized the experience in the conversion of common silicon, tracked the production situation of the hearth and shift, strictly implemented the processes, carefully operated the furnace mouth, and eliminated the stinging fire of the electric furnace, achieving the production of "double break" for the month. The fifth smelting plant, with the overall situation of the enterprise as its priority, kept a close eye on the control of each process link, the leaders followed up the production, and the whole staff worked together to achieve a production output of "one furnace, one piece of not less", and in the case of 75% of ferrosilicon production in the whole month, the production hit a new record high, which was not easy to achieve. This is not easy to achieve and is to be congratulated. The company's functional departments are production-focused, each responsible for their own duties and responsibilities, and do their utmost to protect and serve the production line, laying the foundation for the production unit to create good results.
