Market applications continue to expand. In 2022, the construction of large PV bases and the application of distributed PV steadily increased, with the newly installed PV capacity in China exceeding 87 gigawatts, up 59.3 percent year on year. Among them, centralized photovoltaic added 36.3 gigawatts, up 41.8 percent year on year; Distributed photovoltaics added 51.1GW, up 74.5% year on year.
In terms of exports, the total export of photovoltaic products (silicon wafers, cells and modules) exceeded US $51.2 billion, up 80.3% year on year, and the export of photovoltaic modules exceeded 15.3 gigawatts, up 55.8% year on year, effectively supporting the growth of the photovoltaic market at home and abroad and the global demand for new energy. From the perspective of regional distribution of export, Europe remains the most important export market in 2022, accounting for about 46% of the total export, which continues to increase.
According to the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, the newly installed PV capacity this year will be 28 gigawatts to 33 gigawatts globally, and 95 gigawatts to 120 gigawatts in China.
