Compared with powder cored wire, calcium metal solid cored wire for calcium steel treatment has the following advantages:
1. Calcium metal solid core cored wire, the calcium treatment process will not bring into other oxides in the powder cored wire and pollute the liquid steel (such as iron oxide in the calcium iron wire and alumina in the calcium aluminum wire, etc.);
2. Calcium metal solid cored core has high density mandrel, easy to detect quality, smaller core surface area, so that it has a longer storage life, and can pollute the liquid steel calcium oxide debris to the minimum;
3. The more uniform calcium content per meter and the higher and more stable active calcium content of calcium solid core cladding wire ensure the more stable calcium treatment effect;
4. Thicker outer steel shell (mm) and high-density pure calcium mandrel can feed calcium to deeper parts of the molten steel and stay longer below the critical depth, thus achieving a higher calcium recovery rate;
5. According to the situation of each steel plant, the number of meters of feeding pure calcium wire is 1/4 to 1/3 of that of calcium-iron wire, and the single weight of solid core is 1/2 of that of calcium-iron wire. Using pure calcium wire can reduce the cost of calcium treatment of tons of steel:
Filling the traditional powder with the calcium metal solid core with the core wire can further reduce the consumption of calcium per ton steel, stabilize the recovery rate of calcium, reduce the cost of calcium treatment and reduce pollution. At the same time, it can significantly reduce the labor intensity of on-site workers.
