Brief introduction
SI3N4 is the main component of ferrosilicon nitride, accompanied by free iron, ferrosilicon nitride and a small amount of other components. Ferrosilicon nitride for fire resistance is a gray-white powder, ferrosilicon nitride for steelmaking is a gray-white granular substance.
High melting point: about 1400-1500 ° C, good high temperature resistance.
Good stability: resistant to molten metal erosion and not easily oxidized.
Strengthening effect: High hardness silicon nitride particles can be formed in molten steel to enhance material properties.
Use
Steel smelting:
Oriented silicon steel (electrical steel): As a nitrogen source, it improves the magnetic permeability and iron loss performance of silicon steel.
High strength steel:
Refining grain size through nitrogen microalloying to improve strength and toughness.
Weathering steel/stainless steel: enhances corrosion resistance.
Refractory materials:
used as additives to enhance the thermal shock resistance and wear resistance of refractory products.
Casting industry: used as an inoculant for ductile iron to improve its microstructure.
