Brief introduction:
High carbon silicon is a new type of alloy used in converter. It can replace ferric silicon, silicon carbide and carburizing agent for deoxidizing alloying process of converter smelting. Its features: reducing steelmaking cost, increasing economic benefit, improving product quality and stable performance.
For a long time, the alloy used in converter has not been adjusted, and the structure of traditional alloy varieties is relatively single, that is, the steel Q195 and Q235 adopts Mnsi+FeSi+SiAiCaBa+Sic+ carbonizing agent process, and the steel HRB335 and HRB400 adopts Mnsi+FeSi+ AiSi+ carbonizing agent production process. As for the traditional silicomanganese alloy, the resources of ferrosilicon are increasingly tight, and the market price is rising all the way, which makes the cost of steelmaking gradually increase and reduces the profit space of steel. Moreover, the recovery rate of the traditional alloy is greatly affected by the operation of the converter, and the amount of steel produced, the terminal temperature and the amount of slag make the alloy components in the finished products fluctuate greatly. As a result, the chemical composition of molten steel is unstable and the qualified rate of the internal control index of finished products is low.
Application:
* High carbon alloy is a good substitute for ferro silicon in steel making, which has advantage in reducing the making cost and reusing resource.
* High carbon silicon is used to be made silicon briquette which has far and wide market at home and abroad.
* HC silicon is used as deoxidizing agent in steel making to reduce oxygen levels in the melt via reaction.
