Product Description
Silicon Metal 97 is metallurgy-grade metallic silicon and an ideal substitute for metallic Silicon 553. It is a gray nonmetallic element that is metallic, hard and brittle. Silicon metal was prepared by melting carbon reducing agent and silicon in furnace. The content of silicon in the main component is about 97%, and the other impurities are iron, aluminum, calcium, etc. Silicon Metal 97 has good performance in aluminum industry, solar panel manufacturing, silicon based polymer products, semiconductor grade silicon, iron based alloy production and so on.
Advantages
As an additive of non-ferrous metals, Silicon Metal 97 is also used as alloying agent for silicon steel and deoxidizer for smelting special steel and nonferrous alloy. This kind of metallurgical material has the characteristics of high mechanical strength, low thermal conductivity, non-combustion and convenient transportation. It can also improve the castability, hardness, strength and other practical properties of aluminum.
