Brief introduction:

Solid core pure calcium wire (calcium-metal solid core cored wire) is composed of outer steel strip and inner calcium wire rolled and bitten together. After the refining of the molten steel, it is fed into the molten steel by the feeder with a feeding speed of 60-120m/s and a feeding quantity of 0.8-1.5m/t. Suitable for calcium treatment of molten steel refining.

In 1970s, pure calcium wire was used in molten steel treatment by foreign steel plants, but now it has been widely used in the world, especially in the 1990s, with the rise and rapid development of thin plate continuous casting technology, the advantages of solid core pure calcium core wire have been recognized by most famous steel plants. At present, the market share of solid core pure calcium cored wire in North America has exceeded 70%, and that in Europe has reached 40%. In recent years, many steel mills in China have imported solid core pure calcium cored wire and achieved good economic and social benefits.

Cored wire will want to add various additives in the molten steel (deoxidation, desulfurization, Modificator alloy) crushed into a particle size, and then bind a cold rolled low carbon steel, a composite material having an arbitrary length. By means of a feed line unit, the specified number of cored wire at a constant speed through the slag layer and reach the bottom of the ladle.

Calcium cored wire and the molten steel in the aluminum oxide to form low-melting CaO-Al2O3-based compound, so as to achieve the modified Al2O3, with the sulfide in the molten steel to produce spherical or slug CaS, or CaS and MnS composite phase, thereby reached on the treatment solution deoxidation, desulfurization, micro-alloying constituent fine-tuning and modification, played a grain refinement, clean grain boundaries, to improve the organization, to improve the shape, size, segments of the non-metallic inclusions, improve steel mechanical properties, the elimination of the opposite sex, and to improve the purity of molten steel to improve the performance of the pouring of molten steel.

The technical standards and functions of pure calcium wire are as follows:

(1) compared with calcium iron cored wire, the thickness of cold-rolled bright steel strip is thicker, and the diameter of solid core pure calcium core wire is ∮ 9.5 ± 0.5mm.

(2) The diameter of the cored wire is uniform, which has the advantages of high tensile strength, good toughness and not easy to break, which is more conducive to the accurate control of wire feeding.

(3) It can be applied to the steel grades refined by silicon calcium cored wire and calcium iron cored wire, and the calcium yield is increased by more than 52%.

(4) With the existing wire feeding equipment, the deeper steel feeding depth can be realized at a lower wire feeding speed. The wire feeding amount is easy to be accurately controlled and the wire feeding process is stable.

(5) The core wire is compact and tightly wrapped, which can be stored for a longer time and ensure the use effect.

Features and usage:

* The yield of calcium element is improved. After feeding solid core pure calcium cored wire developed by our factory, the yield of low carbon and low silicon steel represented by SPHC is above 15% on average. The use efficiency of calcium is about 52% higher than that of silicon and calcium cored wire.

* The cost reduction is obvious. The feeding weight of ton steel solid - core pure calcium - coated wire is only 38% of that of silicon - calcium - coated wire.

* More conducive to the production of pure steel.

* Reduce and eliminate nozzle clogging of continuous cast steel.

* Reduced operating intensity.
