Brief introduction:
Ferro Titanium is an alloy of titanium and iron. Also contains aluminum, silicon, carbon, sulfur, phosphorus, manganese and other impurities. Used as deoxidizer, desulfurizer, degassing agent and alloy agent in steelmaking. According to the difference of titanium content, there are three main varieties: FeTi30(containing Ti25.0% ~ 35.0%, Al<8.5%, Si<5.0%), FeTi40(containing Ti35.0% ~ 45.0%, Al<9.5%, Si<4.0%) and FeTi70(containing Ti65% ~ 75%, A10.5% ~ 5%, Si<0.5%). In addition, there are a variety of titanium-containing composite alloys such as Ti-Si-Fe,Ti-B-Al-V, Ti-B-Al-Cr, Ti-Al, Ni-Ti-Al, Ti-B-Al,Ti-Cr-Al, etc., which are used as titanium additives.
USE:
* Ferro Titanium is used as deoxidizer, degassing agent and carbon - sulfur stabilizer in steelmaking.
* Titanium deoxidization in production of sedative steel can reduce segregation in the upper part of the ingot, improve the quality of the steel and increase the yield of the ingot.
* Titanium and nitrogen dissolved in liquid steel can be combined to form stable titanium nitride, which can eliminate the bad effect of nitrogen on steel properties. Titanium and sulfur in liquid steel form titanium sulfide, which eliminates the formation of iron sulfide that leads to hot embrittlement. Titanium and carbon produce extremely stable titanium carbide. The particles of titanium carbide can prevent the growth of steel grains, refine the structure of steel, and improve the strength of steel.
* Adding titanium into cast iron is conducive to the production of fine SPAR ink, and also plays a role in degassing, inoculation, purification and refinement of casting structure, so as to improve the wear resistance of castings. The heat resistance of cast iron can be improved by adding titanium. In addition, titanium composite alloy is used as additive in the production of superalloy and aluminum alloy. Titanium iron as coating component can improve welding quality.
