Brief introduction
Low-carbon ferromanganese is an alloy material made of manganese and iron, mainly consisting of manganese, iron and carbon.
Its main ingredients are as follows:Carbon content ranges from 0.15% to 0.7%, which is easy to process and has great welding performance.Manganese content is generally between 65% and 90%. It is corrosion-resistant and high-temperature resistant. It can make the alloy harder and tougher, and also improve its wear resistance and heat resistance.
Use
1.Steel smelting field
Low-carbon ferromanganese is a common alloy agent used in steel production. It can greatly boost steel's hardness, strength, toughness and wear resistance, and also make steel easier to cast and process. For this reason, it is widely applied to make high-strength steel, stainless steel, wear-resistant steel, spring steel and other alloy steels.
2. Alloy production field .It can be used to produce different kinds of alloys, including copper-manganese, aluminum-manganese, nickel-manganese and titanium-manganese alloys. These alloys feature great mechanical strength, good corrosion resistance and stable heat resistance. They are commonly used in aerospace, automobile, shipbuilding, electronic and military industries.
3. Casting industry.During casting work, low-carbon ferromanganese helps cast products become harder, stronger, tougher and more wear-resistant. It also optimizes their processing and welding effects. Thus it is popular in making cast iron, ductile iron, copper alloy castings and aluminum alloy castings.
4. Environmental protection industry .This material can work as a dephosphorization, desulfurization and deoxidation additive to clean industrial wastewater, waste gas and industrial sludge. Besides, it serves as an environmental treatment reagent. It can absorb, oxidize and decompose harmful pollutants, so as to realize environmental purification.
