Brief introduction:

Iron zirconium is an iron alloy composed of zirconium, iron, silicon and aluminum. Iron zirconium used for steelmaking is ferrosilicon zirconium, containing Zr15% ~ 45%, Si30% ~ 65%. The products made by aluminothermic method are called zirconium aluminum iron because they contain aluminum, and contain Zr>15%.

The iron zirconium commonly used is ferrosilicon zirconium, ferroaluminium zirconium and ferrosilicon zirconium. They are available in several grades, with low-grade alloys containing Zr 5-8% and Si 40-45%. The alloy of medium grade contains Zr 12-15%, Si 39-43%; High grade alloys contain Zr 35-40%, Si 47-52%, the remainder being Fe or Al. There is also a patented composite alloy with Zr less than 10% and Mn, Al, Si, Ti and other elements. Nickel zirconium alloys contain Zr content of 30% or 70%. Zirconium iron produced by remelting metal Zr and scrap steel is one of the most widely used products, with Zr content between 40 and 90%. Because zirconium is one of the strongest deoxidizing agents in steelmaking and the special role of zirconium in steel, iron zirconium is used as deoxidizing agent and alloy additive in special applications of high-temperature alloy, low-alloy high-strength steel, ultra-high strength steel and cast iron, and is then used in atomic technology, aviation manufacturing, radio technology, etc. Iron zirconium can be refined by refining composite Si - containing alloys.

 

Product features:

* Silicon zirconium has strong ability of deoxidation and denitrification in steelmaking process.

 

* Zirconium can refine the austenite grains of steel.

 

* Zirconium and sulfur combine to form zirconium sulfide, thereby preventing hot brittleness of steel.

 

* Zirconium also has the advantages of reducing the strain aging and improving the low temperature toughness of steel.

 

* Zirconium ACTS like titanium in cast iron. Zirconium carbide can be formed, which combines with sulfur to form sulfide. The formation of graphite is accelerated during cooling.

 

* A small amount of zirconium is conducive to the graphitization of white cast iron, so that the white iron mouth gray mouth.
